Anonymously Collected Information

Several non-identifiable details are collected and aggregated upon each visit to MJJR.net. Membership Information

In order to participate in forum discussions or access select sections of MJJR.net, visitors are required to create a free member account. Some of the registration fields (such as the user's real name or timezone) are optional, while others (including alias, password, and e-mail address) are required. The password is encrypted and stored in an internal database, to prevent site administrator(s) and would-be hackers from ever obtaining such confidential information. Users also have the option of hiding their e-mail address from public visitors.

As mentioned previously, visitors are not required to register as members to enjoy the general news and informational aspects of MJJR.net--registration is only required to access several specific portions of the site including the community discussion boards. Any information specified by a given member during sign-up can be changed at any point by said user from within their Settings page. Members wishing to fully cancel and delete their membership from MJJR.net must contact the administrator.

Discussion Forum Posts

With each post that a user makes on the discussion forum, their IP address and the time of the post is recorded. The IP address will never be display to other members and is recorded merely for security purposes. Unless permitted by law, this information will never be turned over to any third party.

MJJR.net is not required to, and does not actively monitor forum discussions at all times of the day. It is possible that a member may post personal identifying information about themselves or about another member with or without authorization from the other party. As deemed necessary, and if reported to the administrator or a moderator, MJJR.net will take proper action to ensure that any personal contact information is removed from the forum as soon as possible.

Cookies

A cookie is a locally stored piece of data that is used by sites to recognize return visitors. MJJR.net makes use of cookies for greeting-related and session-related purposes. Cookies are used when members sign-in (i.e., if they want the site to remember that they are logged in). It is still possible to use this site even if a user rejects or prohibits the use of cookies while on it. Various functions also exist throughout the site which require the use of an e-mail address, such as the "send to a friend" feature. Again, no e-mail addresses will be harvested for any ill-intent purposes.

MJJR.net may contact registered members from time-to-time with site updates or important information about their account(s). If users sign-up for a newsletter service through MJJR.net, they will receive opt-in e-mails containing news and information, and will be able to unsubscribe at any time.

MJJR.net regularly links to third party sites. Please note that MJJR.net has no control over the privacy practices in place at external sites. As such MJJR.net is not responsible for any privacy concerns at third party sites and visitors are encouraged to thoroughly read the privacy policies at each external site they visit prior to exposing any personal information to third party sites.
