August 19, 2004: New details added

The following sections have been updated with details that surfaced during this week's pre-trial hearings: The 2003 Allegations, New Charges Brought and Malicious Prosecution.

Earlier this week, the defense called Tom Sneddon and Stan Katz (the accuser's therapist) to the stand to testify about Sneddon's raid of Bradley Miller's office. During their testimonies, the following information was revealed:

- Sneddon met with the accuser's mother in an empty parking lot to provide her with paperwork that would qualify her to receive money from a state victim's fund.

- In July 2004, Sneddon admitted on tape that he knew Miller worked for Mark Geragos when he raided Miller's office. This means the raid was illegal. On the stand, however, Sneddon claimed he was tired when he made his taped statement and that he meant to say he thought Miller worked for Jackson (which would make the raid legal).

- Stan Katz, a therapist for both Bradley Miller and Jackson's accuser, was the one who told the prosecution about a tape that Miller had made of the family praising Jackson. Authorities confiscated this tape during their raid of Miller's office and used it as the basis of their charge that Jackson conspired to force the family into making positive statements about him. Because the raid was illegal and the tape falls under attorney/client privilege, the defense is trying to prevent the prosecution from using the tape.

Today, the hearing continues. Testimony is expected from Bill Dickerman (the mother's first civil lawyer), Jay Jackson (the accuser's stepfather) and Michael Manning (the mother's former divorce attorney). Stay tuned.

July 21, 2004: The Michael Jackson Case is back online

Apparently, somebody reported my old site to Geocities for an alleged violation of their terms of service; as a result, all of my files were deleted from the server. For anyone interested, here are Geocities' Terms of Service. If you can figure out what I violated, good for you, because I can't.

To whoever got me shut down- nice try. I'm not stupid. Since the day I started this webpage, I've been well aware of the fact that there are two groups of people to watch out for: people hired by the prosecution to keep track of what's being said about Michael Jackson on the Internet (if you think that's far fetched, please click here) and people who are simply derranged and cannot stand the idea that Michael Jackson might be innocent. Because of this, I saved and made multiple copies of all of my HTML files. Once the Geocities site was shut down, all I had to do was find a new server and upload everything again. It took two days.

While I'm not sure exactly who was responsible for getting the page shut down, one thing is certain: somebody did not like the fact that the truth was being told and went to great lengths to put a stop to it.

Too bad.
